Toddler centre 't Huëpke is located in MFA Ien de Bleuij on the Kerkplein in Gronsveld, next to St. Martinus primary school. The nursery is located next to the nursery groups and shares the space with BSO Gronsveld. The toddler entrance is on the left side of the school. The same pedagogical staff are present every morning, which gives your toddler a safe and familiar feeling.

Play, discover and live healthily
At 't Huëpke, we work daily with the Preschool and Early Childhood Education method. This playfully encourages language and numeracy skills. There is a fixed daily schedule with free and supervised play times, circle time activities, healthy eating and exercise. Toddlers play indoors and outdoors, discover their preferences, and learn through themes at the theme table or in the theme corner. Through guided play, the child learns new techniques materials and skills in language, play, social and emotional development.

In addition, at 't Huëpke we pay a lot of attention to healthy eating and (more) exercise. The toddlers eat varied fruit and vegetables, crackers and drink water. SuperfFIT regularly comes on site with a tailor-made approach. For example, they make healthy sandwich spreads with the toddlers or tasty smoothies on the smoothie bike. This way, the children are introduced to tasting different (exotic) fruits and vegetables. They also exercise enthusiastically with the exercise cards and are introduced to all kinds of exercise materials from the SuperFIT box. SuperFIT is a broad approach aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle among young children aged 2 to 4. Kyra our PE teacher provides a game, dance or movement lesson in the gym once a fortnight. We play, cycle and climb outside every day and enjoy nature and the seasons together. Each year, the toddlers take part in activities organised by St Martinus Primary School, such as the four-day walking day, children's book week or national reading days. This playfully prepares them for school, teaches them how to interact with others and develops skills they will soon be able to put to good use.

Parents' committee

At MIK & Spelenderwijs, good quality childcare for your child is extremely important to us. We monitor and improve our quality together with you as a parent and/or educator. That is why we form a parents' committee at every MIK & Spelenderwijs location. Besides these local parent committees, there is also a Central Parents' Committee (COC) that has the right to advise on our policy. With a mandate from the local parent committees, the COC gives solicited and unsolicited advice.

Are you interested in joining the parents' committee?

Please mention this when registering or report to the location manager or pedagogical staff member(s) of your child's care location.

Shall we meet?

Schedule a no-obligation tour with us and see if it's a good match.
