Our child care centres are open from 7.30 am to 18.00 pm. For the day care centre (dutch: kinderdagverblijf, or KDV), there are three packages to choose from:

1) KDV 52 weeks
If you choose this package, you can bring your child to the child care centre for 52 weeks in the year. It is possible to choose both full-day and half-day care. Of course, you choose how many and which fixed days, and there is a minimum of two half-day sessions. The rate for this package in 2025 is €10.71 per hour.
2) KDV 40 weeks
If you choose this package, you can bring your child to child care centre during the 40 school weeks, on the agreed childcare days. You can opt for both full-day and half-day care, with a minimum of two half-day sessions. And of course you choose how many and which fixed days. The rate for this package in 2025 is €11.99 per hour. You can use these hours flexibly each week. Per location, we have a limited number of places available for this. The rate for this package is €12.52 per hour.

Costs and invoicing
I.) Costs are charged in advance per month.
II.) The costs are first calculated on an annual basis and then divided by 12. The childcare costs are therefore the same every month.
III.) Extra time outside the times of the agreement will be charged in accordance with the rate for regular childcare, with a minimum of half an hour. This applies when this extra time is in line with the care that has been contractually agreed.
IV.) Any corrections and/or extra occasional care will be processed on the monthly invoice afterwards.
V.) The hourly rate includes food and excludes nappies.

Absence due to illness or holidays
Under conditions, it is possible to make up missed childcare hours due to, for example, illness or holidays, at another time. This is an extra service, which we can only provide if there is sufficient space.

Toddler care is offered during school weeks and is closed during school holidays. Your toddler attends care for 4 hours or 5.5 hours twice a week, depending on the location. Does your child have an indication for Early and Early Childhood Education (Vroeg- en voorschoolse educatie or VVE) from the youth health care (consultatiebureau)? Then your child will attend 4 times a week. On the location page you can find the opening hours of the location in question. The fees for pre-school care differ per municipality and location. If you would like to know the rates of a specific location, please contact us via the application form. Working parents and educators can apply for childcare allowance through the Tax Office. More information on this can be found here. For non-working parents/educators, the municipality pays part of the childcare costs.

Costs and billing
I.) Childcare costs are calculated on an annual basis and then invoiced in 12 equal parts monthly in advance, as is the payment of childcare allowance by the Tax Office.
II.) Primary school holidays are disregarded when calculating costs and are therefore not charged.
III.) The hourly rate does not include diapers and partly includes food.

Absence due to illness or holidays
Days on which your toddler did not come can not be made up. This is the case, for example, if your toddler is ill or on holiday outside school holidays or days off. There will also be no refund of fees charged.

Absence due to illness or holidays
Under certain conditions, it is possible to make up missed childcare hours at another time, for example due to illness or holidays. This is an extra service, which we can only provide if there is sufficient space.

Childcare allowance

Our rates are without allowance. If both parents/guardians work or study, you can get childcare allowance from the Dutch Tax Administration (Belastingdienst). This means that you get part of the costs back. How much you get back depends on your income. As a result, you end up paying less for childcare.

You must apply for the childcare allowance yourself at the Tax Administration. You must also report changes (e.g. in income or childcare hours) yourself. You can apply for the benefit here.

Please note: do you make use of after-school care (BSO)? Then you are not entitled to allowance until your child is 4 years old.

We are a social organisation, which means we want to keep childcare affordable for everyone. That's why we try to keep our hourly rate of the most commonly used packages equal to the maximum amount you will be reimbursed by the tax authorities. We managed to do this again in 2025.
